mp4 container?
« on: October 20, 2015, 09:54:40 pm »
As best I can tell, dxtory still does not allow writing directly into an mp4 container, is that correct?

Is this ever going to be an option?

I see that whenever this is brought up in the forum, people are told "hey, just use avi -- it's more flexible!". However, as far as I understand, h264 in avi is deprecated and not advised...?

I would love to have the MP4 option also; however, you most certainly can use H.264 in an AVI container and it's current.

MP4 format destroys only the quality and is useless for direct recordings.
In addition, you can not record two tracks which then buying Dxtory rather pointless makes since then Fraps OBS and co. sufficient.

If you want to have MP4, it is recommended only normal to be incorporated into avi, then convert them to MP4 ... eg with WinFF
