So I have a huge problem, DxTory will bring my fps in csgo down from 300 to 100 every time I try to record 1080p@60fps Matrox MPEG iFrame HD

PC Specs: GTX 750TI, AMD fx 8350, 16gb ddr3, 2tb WD HDD 250gb Samsung 850 Evo SSD(<--The Drive I record to 540mb/s)

I don't understand why it is doing this because when I record with lagarith 1080p@60fps it doesn't drop my fps it only drops the file fps from 60 to 50

Also what computer resources does DxTory use up?

Your CPU is not powerful enough to run it at 1080p@60fps on a codec that compresses (Matrox) and still maintain high frame rate. Matrox makes relatively decent sized files. Small file size = compression = takes extra computer resources to squeeze your big video into a tiny file size with decent quality.

The reason why Lagarith drops lesser frame rate is because it records uncompressed videos. It takes lesser resource on your CPU to output the files. I'm pretty sure you noticed that the file sizes are significantly larger than Matrox's.

Dxtory relies heavily on a good CPU to keep a good frame rate up while recording, provided that your HDD is fast enough.

I suggest dropping it to 1080p@30fps or 720p@60fps in game.

What is your monitor refresh rate? It is probably 60Hz, which means 300fps look the same to 100fps. Just enable V-Sync and be fine, you'll also lower load on your CPU and GPU.

thats not true, I play BF4 at ultra with 90-100 fps and can record 1080p@60fps just fine with maybe 10-15 frames dropped

So with BF4 you have the same fps as CS:GO with dxtory... CS is less GPU demand, so your fps is usual cpu limited and can skyrock to 300 fps, BF4 is gpu limited and cpu is not in full use, so maybe your codec using big part of cpu and thats why CS go slower, but with BF4 you had reserve and you didnt notice change in fps with cpu demand codec
