Dxtory crashes Arma 2
« on: August 02, 2013, 07:55:34 am »
When trying to record with dxtory, the program crashes first time on startup. When I press my hotkey to record in-game my game immediately shuts down with a crash error.
I've also tried it on other games such as Rising storm, still the same errors...

Is a video driver the cause?

Nope, I've just updated my graphics card drivers and still getting the same problem. Dxtory now doesn't even pick up games such as "Half life 2 Deathmatch" So even if I was able to record, it wouldn't let me because it doesn't work with them games.

can you try other codec than the dxtory one? I remember seeing some weird cases where the crashing was fixed by switching to different codec, like lagarith or ut video codec.

also, some codec packs can cause weird issues, it might be worth a shot to uninstall ffdshow to test it out too.
