I'm trying to install Lame for Dxtory because I want to record with mp4 instead of avi but I've seem to run into a problem during the installation
When I run the command C:\Windows\SysWOW64>rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 0 C:\lame\LameACM.inf
It cant copy any of the files

I'm speculating that Lame just doesn't support windows 10 right now but I would like to make sure

For anyone unclear about the error I'm getting:

Malix

I uh... what?

First of, Lame is an MP3 codec, it encodes MP3 audio, no relation to mp4 video container.

And in any case, that problem you're having is *probably* with the lame files, a more appropriate place to ask help relating to that would be lame's forums or whatever support channel.

Oh sorry if I made that unclear. Apparently dxtory has problems with it's multiple audio streams when you force it to use mp4 instead so I'm having to do this also.

Also I've tried looking for lames forums, either they're very allusive or they don't exist.

Takedown

First off, there isn't any way to force mp4 with dxtory except a rarely used option in x264vfw, so I'm not sure what you meant by that.

If you can't figure out how to install lame codec or it fails to install on win10, you can always use the "hidden" codec  =)
