Audio Stream is always "longer" than the video file.
« on: February 23, 2016, 05:04:08 am »
Hello,

I am having a weird problem, every time I record something, the video is always shorter than the audio stream as shown over here: http://imgur.com/kLcmqY5 ,
it's just a few milliseconds but still bothers me to no end, makes me afraid that my audio might be out of sync when finishing editing.

Because of that, I don't know where to sync my audio from, from the start of the file, maybe from the end?

Is there a way to fix that? Every time I extract the audio from any videos recorded with Dxtory to edit on Premiere, the game audio and the mic audio are longer than the video.

It feels like the video finishes recording before the audio does.

Anyone having the same problem?

There are no errors on the error log.

Premiere does not support variable frame rates, which are most likely the cause of desynchronisation. Try another editing program, that can work with variable frame rate (e.g. Vegas). If the spread of the desynchronisation is even, you can simply stretch the audio tracks to the video track (a few milliseconds are unnoticeable).

I get this issue, but it's only out by 1 frame at max. Check to see if the audio syncs out over time and if so, just change the speed to match the footage. It that's not the issue, the video recording is probably stopping quicker than the audio recording. In this case, you're safe to just cut off the end

From log - he using Lagarith (Dxtory with Lagarith have known bug that it produces null frames even if option is not enabled, null frames are skipped with Adobe software), you could just remuc (so copy streams with cvirtualdub to second avi), but there is easier way - just change coded, use something like UTVideo when recording ....
