Dxtory will not record. INIT

Hi there.
Here is a problem that started yesterday. I have been recording with Dxtory successfully for a few months now, but yesterday whenever I tried to start recording in Arma 2, the FPS would change colour to orange, like it does usually but it would say INIT underneath it.
So nothing is recorded. The strange thing is if I started to record when I was in the game menu it would work, but if I stop recording during game and then try to start recording again I get the same INIT message under the FPS.

I confirmed that it operated normally.

Please check whether it can encode by VirtualDub.
If there is a problem, there is a problem in the vfw codec of your environment.

Im having this exact same issue, works fine with all other games just not arma2/dayz

wont work with the lagarith codec but works with the dxtory codec but the lag is horrible

I have tried BF3 and Dxtory works perfectly fine while playing that. It seems that it might be a Arma 2 issue.
As I have recorded hours worth of Arma 2 in the past it's very strange that it's just started to be troublesome now.
I have tried other codecs but it still doesn't work.

Still up for new suggestions on a solution.

I have exactly the same problem. I am using the dxtory trial version with lagarith codec and was trying to record some DayZ (Arma 2 mod).

Since MSI Afterburner suddenly stopped working in DayZ a few days ago (I really can't figure out why, as I didn't change anything), I decided I would try out dxtory, basically with the same settings described in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw6YAoai8fQ&t=2m40s.

Sadly it's only displaying INIT underneath the framerate all the time and doesn't put out any video files.

I hope it's not the new Battleye update as DrNiko said, because there is absolutely nothing we can do about it, is there?

I found the solution!!

I hope this works for anybody else with the same problem.
Basically I tried the Dxtory Codec and it worked, so I figured it had to be the Lagarith Lossless codec that was the problem. So what I did was click on the Configuration Dialogue Box, next to the Lossless Lagarith Codec and ticked the "Always suggest RGB for output" box, and now it works again.

Like I said, I hope it works for you guys too.

This is driving me mead. Dxtory codec files are to large to use.

try to open the software first and then the ArmA 2 works sometimes for me .. We can go http://forums.bistudio.com/ and report the problem.

I have tried other codecs and they work but file sizes are waaaaay too big.

I can also confirm that Dxtory is not working at the moment using the lagarith codec while recording Arma2, as previous people mentioned this seems to of occurred after a battleye update.

Here's my Environment Info in the hope that the Dev can maybe find a fix for this as I don't hold much hope on a fix soon from the battleye guys!

I'm also getting the exact same issue, with the exact same lagarith codec. After testing various things myself I agree it's battle eye causing the problem.

I have the exact same problem, plus my windows 8 give me "Critical_Process_Died" screen and restarts my pc. But sometimes it works, when I start the recording in the menu. When I stop the recording then and start again, it crashs again.

Tried a few things, also with the audio codecs, but nothing helped.
