Dxtory won't open

So Dxtory has always been good to me, except for today. Today it wont open, I see it in task manager for about 4 or 5 seconds and it's gone. i've tried the usual fixes as I'm not unfamiliar with PC troubleshooting. Reinstalling/uninstalling/different versions and compatibility modes....nothing works. Nothing has changed that I know of other than a recent Windows update. Dxtory is important to my YouTube work, so I'm very frustrated that it's now dead.

UPDATE: version 20128 seems to work now

http://forum.exkode.com/index.php?topic=2.0 as with any issue, environment info or in case of dxtory not starting, the bootlog. I guess in this case, both.

Tried rolling back drivers, it isn't that. The old .128 version of Dxtory works so it's clearly an issue with the latest version specifically.

Sounds like Windows might be to blame again ( windows update ), but you never know.

Did you install any software between the time it was working and when it stopped ?
Did you try ver. 134 or 135 ?
You said you downgraded, so are you back in win 8.1 ?

If you want to try a complete reinstall here are the instructions :

1. Uninstall dxtory
2. Run this as Admin in a command prompt

3. Reinstall with this option checked

2. Run this as Admin in a command prompt

3. Reinstall with this option checked

Done this too and hell no I didn't downgrade to Windows 8 lol. I simply went from 10 Enterprise to 10 pro to see if there was a difference, there wasn't. Neither 134 or 135 work as well

I have the same issue as turbodude555.

I am using Windows 10. The newer version were working fine for like a day, then it didn'T start. My bootlog looks like his as well.

I tried .133 and up, all failed, however, as turbodude555 said, if I use .128, it works again.

138 doesn't work either. I'm moving on, requesting a refund if possible as the software is now pointless to me

Investigated further within a virtual machine with January 2016 version of Win10. Latest Dxtory worked. Not sure if its a Windows Update or conflicting software issue yet. But looks like a reinstall of windows is in order :/

Can confirm latest version is working on fresh older windows 10 with Nvidia drivers, geforce experience so far. Seems it WAS a Windows update for win10 that broke dxtory

Deferring Windows 10 updates until someone finds out the issue. Anyone using Windows 10, I recommend making more backups before updating or you might lose DXTORY!! Fortunately I kinda needed to reinstall windows as I recently got my first M2 drive, those things are amazing!
