Trying to record only game sounds.
« on: August 13, 2013, 02:41:21 pm »
So I've got DXtory down for the most part. I seem to only be having one problem. When I record my game, I also hear my friends because I'm usually in Skype. I know the audio device has something to do with it. So this is my question. Is there a way to record ONLY my game sounds with DXtory, but also still hear the sounds and my friends in Skype? Do I need to download something extra for this? Most of the games I play require teamwork. I need to be able to hear the game along with my friends. DXtory only needs to hear the game. Thx

When you put the Game clips into editing software (Vegas etc) there should be different audio tracks.

I set my Dxtory up to have 3 (Game sound, My Voice, and the last one is Skype/Team speak)

You can set these up in the Audio panel of Dxtory (Speaker and headphone icon)

You may have Virtual audio cable or something which makes Skype heard while recording, to stop this just get rid of virtual line one or equivalent in them setting

My Skype and my Games play sounds through my speakers. I've tried putting either of them through something else, but I cant hear anything then.
