Dxtory wont work at all for me

I'm trying to use the trial version and test the quality because i was really interested in buying this software, but it literally just wont work for me. It wont select a program and it stays on default. I've watched videos on how to do it, an nothing works.

How do i get this to work?

Ive got the program working for some games now, but why is it no matter what FPS i put it to record, it is locked at 30?
