New higher end pc, but much slower recording framerates

Just got a new pc which is a significantly better spec. However when I record I only get 37fps recording showing on the overlay. On my old pc, I used to able to record full frame 60fps with room to spare. As far I'm aware my Dxtory settings are the same. I'm using Lagarith codec the same as before. I just downloaded it and was probably on an older version. Can anyone offer advice?
