[Request] "Synchronize Video FPS" with a framerate divider

There are some games/times when it's smoother to record at Sync FPS at 60fps, than to record unlocked at 30. In the end all I want is 30fps, but want it smooth, but I don't want to play the game at 30fps with Sync Video FPS. So I'd love to see a method to sync video FPS but also use a framerate divider to record a multiple of the locked framerate. For instance, locking to 60fps, and then using a 1:2 divider for 30fps output.

Fraps does this, which is why on rare occasions I will choose to use it. I'd like to be able to have it sync to 60fps, and then capture every other frame. Vsync + 30fps unlocked capture does NOT produce the results I like, as due to the fickle nature it tends to just immediately drop to 30fps anyways. I don't care about tearing, this is about the final video looking smooth. I only plan on producing 30fps content. But there are many times when I record in 60fps Sync simply because it produces smoother 30fps content due to the synchronized behavior.

If you have suggestions if there is something I'm missing, I'm all ears. I hope my post made sense.

Doesnt the option Synchronous Surface Lock help you?

When you lock to surface, dxtory ensures that no frame is skipped

Well I thought I had tried that for a long time and it didn't quite work properly. If that is all it is then I'll be super happy. Thanks for bringing that up. I should give it another try.
