DXTORY won't record Dirt 4

Hi all

need some help please, for some reason i can't record my triple screen gameplay of Dirt 4
but all other games i don't have a problem with, does anybody know of any issues with this game ?
any help would be appreciated

That's my fault, what I had meant was did you try other capture programs with Dirt, not other games.  ( To see if they can capture it without issues )

In any case, try enabling DelayHook in the Advanced tab and set DelayHookTime to 10 or 15 seconds.

If that doesn't help, try disabling Steam's in-game overlay and then run the game.

If none of that works then post a clean Errorlog.txt, here is how
1.  In Dxtory, goto the Information tab ( last tab on the right )  and press the recycle bin button next to Errorlog.txt
2.  With Dxtory running, start the game you wish to capture and attempt to start a recording.
3.  Close the game and go back to the Information tab in Dxtory.  Press the big Errorlog.txt button and pick "Save to file" or "Copy to clipboard"
4.  Attach your new Errorlog.txt to a post or copy / paste the text into a post.

only dirt 4 it seems at present does not record

That's my fault, what I had meant was did you try other capture programs with Dirt, not other games.  ( To see if they can capture it without issues )

In any case, try enabling DelayHook in the Advanced tab and set DelayHookTime to 10 or 15 seconds.

If that doesn't help, try disabling Steam's in-game overlay and then run the game.

If none of that works then post a clean Errorlog.txt, here is how
1.  In Dxtory, goto the Information tab ( last tab on the right )  and press the recycle bin button next to Errorlog.txt
2.  With Dxtory running, start the game you wish to capture and attempt to start a recording.
3.  Close the game and go back to the Information tab in Dxtory.  Press the big Errorlog.txt button and pick "Save to file" or "Copy to clipboard"
4.  Attach your new Errorlog.txt to a post or copy / paste the text into a post.

ok so i took hook to 10 disabled steam overlay and nothing works still
i shall now get the error log and post it in a few minutes.

oh and i don't have any other capture software to try it, i thought Dxtory would be all i needed ?

ok so i followed you're instructions to the letter and the error log is completely blank ?
i'm guessing it has not worked either :/

Lets see if Dxtory is hooking into Dirt 4 properly ( I don't own d4 to test it )

Use this guide to check for dlls loaded into the game.  Follow the instructions for Process Explorer ( select Dirt 4's process and NOT notepad ) and post the txt file from the final step ( Saving the list of DLLs of the selected process )

If the lower pane is empty with the Dirt process, then run Process Explorer as Admin.

The reason I mentioned other programs is because if they can't capture Dirt 4, then Dxtory would have the same issue.  It sometimes helps to know how other software reacts to a program / game.  In your log file it says you have Bandicam and d3dgear installed.  Did you try those with Dirt or are they just leftovers from uninstalled programs ?
