FPS of recorded video is very low

Hello.  I have owned Dxtory for well over a year, and I have always used the same settings that have always worked perfectly, but yesterday while editing my video, I noticed that the fps of my recording was extremely low, but I was getting about 120 fps on my screen while recording that video.  I turned on the overlay, and sure enough, I'm recording at 4 fps, but again, I am not noticing any lag whatsoever on my end.

I think that it is normal operation as spec. and a setting.

It is good to reduce the bitrate using other codecs and to use the high-speed storage only for recording.

I have tried all of the codecs in the program, and I even installed the Lagarith Lossless codec, and they either crash the game or have the same problem.  I managed to capture a .gif of what is happening.  I am supposed to be getting 30 fps file output, but instead I'm getting lag spikes with it that work like clockwork, happening about every second..  This happens with every game as well, not just Minecraft.
