DXtory closes down upon launching

So i had this problem once before
I start up dxtory,I get the icon in the taskbar but not the screen itself,and when I click on it it dissapears.
There's no error or chrash logs

Had this on 2.0.118 & 2.0.123
Reinstalling was the only thing that resolved it

No, the program isn't active

The following happens.
I click on the icon to start dxtory
I get the message 'this program is about to change...' (that's a Windows OS message)
The UI does not appear,nor does the fps meter appear when starting a game/program to record.
When looking in the windows task manager dxtory is showing under application & process's
Their is a dxtory icon at the bottom left of the task bar (in the area where the time is displayed),but clicking on that just makes it go away.

A clean install resolves it,but I like to know what's causing it.

Normally I put dxtory up on my second monitor while the game/program I want to record is displayed on the primary monitor
