Where did my profiles go?

I just downloaded the latest update  and now my profiles are gone.    Why does it not migrate your old profiles over?    That is extremely inconvenient when people likely have dozens of profiles with specific settings for certain games..

Shouldn't the installer warn you about this?

Is there any way to recover my profiles?

in installer, do not check "clean install" or so.

I don't even remember seeing that.. I guess I will have to be careful next update.....meh
