Games close or crash when attempting to Capture

Just built me a new gaming rig with the purpose of being able to record gameplay. Sadly whenever I run a game and attempt to capture any gameplay, it will either automatically close or crash. Dxtory stays open though like nothing happened...

This is happening with EVERY game I try. (Final Fantasy 14, Team Fortress 2, Arma II - DayZ mode) This is on a fresh install done today. Ive tried different codecs, assigning another hotkey button, rolling back from a older Dxtory version, made sure drivers/directx are up-to-date, targeting another HDD to record on and just about every check list combination I can think. 

Is there something that I'm missing? :C
