Yeah very random...Vegas does not show support for PCM
so I searched for a mp3 codec and that one seemed to have good results
with Dxtory.
...weird, my vegas movie studio platinum 12 opens PCM and mp3 streams just fine...

Somehow I find it hard to believe... PCM is the first thing you think of when it comes to audio codecs. Also it's odd it works for some Vegas users, and it doesn't for others.

Sony Vegas, in general, is hit and miss. For some people it works and others it doesn't. Adobe tends to be the software that 95% works for everyone who uses it.

The fact that Dxtory allows people to just choose whatever video/audio codecs they want to use adds to the huge variation that people have with Vegas. :/

PCM works with vegas.

Vegas does support even multichannel PCM if I remember correctly.

Not supporting uncompressed PCM Audio would be very strange.

Sony Vegas and Sony Movie Maker Platinum are frankly, pardon my french here, complete and utter dog shit

They take forever to edit video, they are slow, they seek slowly, they only process a select few versions of codecs etc

Adobe Premier is leagues better, and as long as you have the codecs installed on your computer, can read any media file, and not only that, it reads files incredibly fast, seeks incredibly fast, processes quickly, allows you to a ton of effects easily etc
