I try to record with the Fraps Video Decompressor Codec which works best since all the other codecs are dropping my FPS real badly.

I start recording and everything is great, but when I opened my folder where its supposed to record, I dont see a file. I checked the path and everything is fine.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Fraps Video Decompresser Codec. As the name states this is simply a decoder, it's not meant neither it can be used for video capture.

You should install and use Lagarith Lossless Codec if you want the most balanced performance per quality video codec. When you install it, in codec config tab turn on "Multi-Threading" and switch mode to "YV12".

I just tried it. And it still drops my frames to around 16. I am recording minecraft in a 1280x720 window :/

You computer/hard drive might simply be too weak/slow.

Doubt it, because I recorded just fine a month ago. Its the same drive. Nothing happened to it. A Seagate Baracuda 1TB.

Is there a way I can fix it?

And the specs are :

i5 2500k 3.2Ghz
8GB DDR3 1866Mhz RAM
HD Radeon 6770 Vapor X

Try recording some other game such as Team Fortress 2. If it will get recorded without issues then your issue might be related to AMD drivers issue people report in Minecraft. You should try then rolling back to previous graphics drivers version.

I switched to Fraps now, had to do some adjustments to it, but its fine now. Sad that I found this "issue" I really loved Dxtory :/ And I see lots of people have problems with it lately.
