DXTORY & rFactor2 v798
« on: July 31, 2014, 02:39:22 am »

There seems to be an issue between DXTORY and the latest rFactor2 release v798. Once I launch DXTORY, the rF2 Launcher app fails to start. This has happened 80% of the time since my installation of rF2 v798. I am forced to restart the computer when this happens, and it seems to happen only with rFactor2.

I should add I had cloned my start-up drive the same week, however I since made fresh installs of both rF2 and DXTORY. Any tips?

Thank you.

Is it a problem in which starting of Launcher fails?
Please except it by Ignore setting of Dxtory.

rFactor2 is where I do most of my recordings. If I add rFactor2 to "Ignore setting..."Edit ignore target" will it prevent me from recording it? I would suspect, but will try it.

If I leave rF2's Launcher application running I encounter no issues. However, if I quit rF2's Launcher it no longer starts after I  start DXTORY, I am forced to reboot the PC.

Do you see anything in the Environment that could be causing this issue? rFactor2 is not affected by any other application, conversely DXTORY does not seem to affect any other application either.

Thank you!

PS: I am running rf2 in 64bit mode.

Update: I added the rFactor 2 Launcher application to the Ignore list as you suggested. After starting DXTORY the rF2 Launcher does NOT start. The problem persists.

Update: I just confirmed the issue persists with rFactor 2 v660 and v770, 32bit and 64bit.
